Calling all innovators! We're very excited to announce the first ever Community Brands Innovation Awards, in conjunction with Xperience 2018.
Whether it's making health care more accessible through mobile apps or improving ways to raise funds for cancer research, we know our clients are working hard every day to accomplish their missions and make lasting changes in the world. We also know that more and more, technology is becoming an integral part of this effort. We at Community Brands want to recognize the associations and nonprofits that are using technology in creative and innovative ways to positively impact social change.
All clients of Community Brands, regardless of what product(s) you use, are welcome and encouraged to submit an entry. The only additional requirement is that your organization must be sending at least one person to Xperience 2018, so there is a representative onsite, in case you're a winner.
To submit an entry, please fill out the submission form found at the bottom of this page. All submissions must include a written response to the question, "How are you being innovative with technology to make a difference in the world?" Your answer cannot exceed 250 words. In addition, there must be a video submission, no longer than three minutes, that introduces your organization, the innovation, and the societal impact. The video must be hosted on a video hosting site and submitted as a URL that can be embedded. Submissions are due by midnight, Sunday, April 15, 2018.
The Innovation Awards are intended to be a platform for recognition; but also, a means for inspiration. That's why we'll be posting all submissions on the Xperience 2018 website for everyone to see. You'll be able to vote on your favorite submission, and the three innovations with the most votes will be recognized on stage at Xperience as our 2018 Innovation Award winners. Voting will open on Wednesday, April 18 and close on Friday, May 4.
A nonprofit animal shelter was missing out on critical donations due to its antiquated website and third-party online donation process. They decided it was time to upgrade and launched a new website, integrating customizable Fundraising Online donation forms. Immediately, they saw the benefits with an annual event – seeing donation gains of 23 percent over the previous year. Just the addition of more modern tools allowed them to offer more donation amount options and ongoing payment plans providing a much better end user experience. This use of technology allowed the shelter to increase funds, save time, and better serve the animals in need of assistance!
An association for healthcare providers decided to use a mobile app not just for their members but for the general public as well. They built a public facing app that allowed users to search for healthcare providers (their members) in their area without having to leave their smartphones. This use of technology allowed the association to effectively build on their mission to make healthcare more accessible!
